midi ring tone gets quieter once transferred to the phone...

Has anyone had a problem with a midi getting quieter once you transfer it to the phone? I have a midi that is really loud on the PC but on the phone it is much quieter. Even boosting the ring volume all the way up it is not even as loud as the default ring. I heard from a freind that he has the same problem so I figure it may be common and someone here would know if there was a fix?
