Verizon or Cingular GSM in Texas??

Hello,

I'm a newbie to the forums. I'm currently with AT&T, and since the service won't work well (and increasingly getting worse) in my home office as well as other spots where I travel in Texas, I'm looking for a new service and phone (currently a V60).

I've narrowed it down to Verizon or Cingular (GSM).
Most of my time is spent in various spots around the
state of Texas, and mainly near bigger hub areas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, etc). Any thoughts as to pros/cons of each would be helpful.
