Voice Ringers over 30k??

I saw a few posts where people mentioned they had went over 30k for the ringer file size. I was under the impression they could only be 30k or less and I even tried myself and it gets on the phone fine over 30k but when u go to save the sound it says file is over 30k and is too large. So is someone completely misunderstood or did someone actually find away around the 30k limit??

You need the cable to get past the 30k limit.

the trick is to use the voicedb memo save trick and then once the sound file is saved in your gallery directory you can overwrite it with a file as large as you like...

I overwrote the file in Bitpim. It was a file around 70k rather than the original 25k i had. So i went to media gallery and played it and it just played the original one not the extended. So i powercycled the phone thinking that might do it but the same thing. Any ideas? Do i have to maybe erase it from the gallery then turn the phone on and off and it will come back as the new larger file?

so is everyone using bitpim and not "the other" method?
im using the other method and i cant see a voicedb folder..all i get is a "ringer" folder
im screwing up ya?
