Has anyone gotten a T68i to work with Cingular?

Hey all:
I had Cingular inform me that the T68i isn't a GSM phone (not surprising, that) and that it's not compatible with their service.
I'm wondering if anyone has firsthand experience to contradict this assertion?

the t68i is a GSM phone, wether or not it is unlocked to use the cingular service is a different issue

I am using the T68i that was unlocked before I purchased it. It works fine.
The only catch is that I am just now subscribing to GPRS internet from Cingular and I haven't had it work yet....
Phone and SMS functions work perfectly.

i think to sum it up, i've been with cingular for about 2 and a half years now, and i think they have great service and good CS and i love them, but when you call in, NEVER listen to a thing the CS rep tells you about the phone(functional & technology-wise) cus they don't know a GODDAMM THING

When I tried to make my Europe bought T68i work on Cingular's GRPS nobody at Cingular that I could get hold of knew how. They even insisted it would not work at all. Needless to say I am happily using GRPS for a couple of years now on my T68i.
Here is how I got the info:
There is information on Cingular's Developer Forum (sing-up was free and might still be).
Document downloads are at:
http://alliance.cingularinteractive...wnloadDirectory
search for "cingular wireless device software settings" and among others that pdf (V2.1 dated 2-27-04) will be returned.
Follow the instructions and enjoy.

I think the CSR was trying to make a point that there are regions of service by Cingualr only works with 850Mhz band, so hence the T68i wont support it.
