I have been waiting for the Moto V600 for so long that I am getting sick of it. I am wondering what your opinions are of the Panasonic X70's features in comparison to the V600? Which should I buy considering that the Moto may not get here till Jan/Feb and I really need to get at least a tri band phone at least by mid Dec (going to the US).

I have beeen trying to do a comparison myself and the big differences I found are:
- Longer battery life theoretically on Moto.
- No Mpeg playback on Panasonic (not that important to me.)
- Quad band on Moto and tri on Panasonic (does not really matter to me as I am in Australia.)
- Moto has that flashing light but so does Panasonic on outer display.
- Moto's external display is blue, compared to Panasonic's grey scale.
- iTap predictive text in Moto, T9 in Panasonic.
- Panasonic is about 20g lighter.
- Moto's internal display is larger.
- Panasonic has photo light for pictures in low light.
- Moto has 5mb memory, Panasonic has 4mb.

These seem to be the big differences. As far as I can tell they both will have Java support in my country. I can buy from Hong Kong as well. I am also not sure about the differences in digital camera quality. I know the panasonic is 110K but not sure about V600.

Any other phones I should consider? I was thinking Sharp GX-22 but no bluetooth and tiny memory capacity has turned me away. Also, I think it is quite ugly in comparison to X70 and V600.

well the phone I wanted was the X70 but that has not got MP4 (video) that I want so im going to wait for the V600 or wait a bit longer for the Nokia 6600 or Nokia 6220

as I looking for a phone that has video recorder or along that lines but can affored three (www.three.co.uk)

and to your Q? the X70 I think looks allot nicer but dont have MP4 (Video) but you said you dont want that so go for the X70

so i will still stick with the user-friendly panasonic~

how much is the P900 in the UK because if its not 2 much I can get it for 1/2 price hopfully depending on how much it is...

mpeg playback? only if those phones ever support external memory card, or else a several MB of video means nothing to me.

I can't wait till they come out with a external memory card capable flip phone like the Japanese 1mp camera phones..

how is the motorola 20 grams heavier than the panasonic?
92 vs. 95 grams
the motorola is 3 grams heavier

The Moto V600 is actually 116g in weight. The Panasonic X70 is 92g. Thus, there is quite a difference. If you want to comfirm these dimensions, please visit:

Woah 116 grams, that's even heavier than the Z600.

the X70 sure does look light in comparison..
