Hi Everyone,

been reading great reviews on the new Mitac, saw the price at just talk for $389.99 with activation and was going to buy one. I have never bought an "unlocked" phone before, will this phone work ok in the US? Specifically, CA. I currently use t-mobile and it looks like all I do is plug in the sim card and I am good to go? Also, if anyone has any bad experiences with this retailer or any thoughts on the phone please let me know! I was going to get the samsung i600 when it comes out for verizon but they keep pushing it back and there is no integrated camera.

The Mio 8380 is a pretty good device. It is smartphone 2002, but works well as a phone, the camera is pretty good and the interface navigates quite quickly I would recommend it ( I have one in front of me ), but the price that you quoted is with activation. I can tell you now, that if its anything like the uk, your phone is not going to be able to use any other sim except for the t-mobile one.

The price is very good..although I guess you would be paying for the rest of the phone in subscription and call charges ( the phone is subsidised )
