Lotus Notes Email and P900

Synch stuff works great - much easier than the t68i did.
Question: (one that I expect has a pretty simple answer)
I synched my P900 with notes (contacts, calendar, mail, etc). Contacts and calendar came over great. Can't seem to find the email messages that I expected to suck in from notes to the phone.
Size and limits for messages are pretty dang high....
Do I need to create a default inbox of somekind for the notes inbox to synch with? (I've created a separate (and preferred) email account for a different pop account (not related to the notes account).
Thoughts?
