Cable Sync Speed

Has anyone tried increasing the cable sync speed from 115000 to 460800 and seen an increase in sync'ing speed?

I can't go that high on my com port..the fastest for me is 128,000, it works but I see no difference in speed.
Tested a transfer of 2 ogg files ( I know bad way to test ) but it was the only thing I could think of.

It's no good if the PC only supports 115200, I don't know if it can be increased on the PC side. Probably more like it's for use as a modem.
