BlueTooth Pairing with Win/PC and Remote Sync

Am having trouble pairing my P800 with my office PC. Have paired my personal Mac OS X laptop with my office Win 2000 Pro desktop using Bluetooth but the P800 keeps failing. Sometimes I get into the Set up phone wizard and get uo to the Sync stage and then the connection Cr@ps out.
Am wondering whether the Remote Sync logon that I had set up for Mighty Phone is being used as authentication for my PC/P800 conection. Have tried to delete the RemoteSync preferences but the P800 will not let me delete the Login/Password/Domain data.
Does anyone have info/experience with this type of issue?

ps. searching on Bluetooth in the Forum brings up lots of links to headsets/bluespoon etc. If this has been covered before, sorry.
