Look at these peoples 8290 to 8250 phones
monmon
spydahman

I'm guessing you want something like monmons, since you don't like the black part like spydahman's...

The shine is only due to the photograph and the lighting... I'm sure no matter which faceplate you get, there will be that shine, and the chrome along the sides...

Look at this one... Its the same faceplate, just a different angle and LEDs, but if you bought it from this site it would like the first one too.. trust me!

I think spydahman got his from the same place i did which is www.gsmsquare.com which is based in Hong Kong. The material and look definitely looks like it does.

I like the one from gsmsquare.com for (2) reasons:

1. It has an Original Nokia Logo on the window and plus the back cover as well.
2. It uses hard plastic buttons which i like. I hate the flimsy rubber ones...

Here's the one i got last year but since i used text messaging alot, i wore out the rubber and replaced it but this is an 8250 look alike for 8290 bought from www.gsmsquare.com

Could you make a 3390 fit inside there? Would it be easy? That is a nice looking phone and if it's possible I might get that case. I like the way the menu buttons are. Very nice.

Here's my 8290 with a chrome 8250 conversion face+back. I like the 8860 chromed-out look but I like the 8290 so I mixed the 2 and 2 together and got this. As you can see, the back is pretty scratched up due to it being thrown around in my purse. I actually use the back of the phone as my mirror.... hehe

I got this conversion off of (EBAY) for less than $15
((Sorry about the crappy pic. It's taken with my scanner))

I would agree.. the real keys are much nicer...!
I hate rubber ones...

The "window" (I call it a screen) should be changable... Like the 8290 ones... With the words Nokia printed on.....
