I NEED HELP ON TWO ISSUES WITH MY I95. I have bought a faceplate and my friend thought he could apply it for me but he then told me he couldn't do it. So now i have an opened phone and my speaker doesnt work anymore. I do have a red piece with a line on it that came from the phone but I don't know where it goes.

1. Please tell me where to put the red thing.

2. Can someone give me a site, video, or step-by-step directions on how to apply the transparent faceplate.

I'D REALLY APPRECIATE SOME HELP

I have the same problem. My ear speaker no longer works but I can hear the key beep and I can't hear any ring tones. I bought some opening instructions and Torx 8 and I opened up my phone to see whats up then that red thing fell out. Where did it come from??? I don't know!!! It only made matters worse. Someone told me it was a busted ear speaker, but where does that red thing go?? If anyone could help us out then that would be great!!!! d83scorpio@yahoo

the red piece that fell out of the phone is from the lower right side of the back piece (on the inside to the lower right of the speaker. it sits on top of that little circuit board......its what makes contact between the main board of the phone and the speaker.....thats why you're having speaker problems. theres no wrong way to put it back....the one side is curved to conform to the screw post next to it......also, it doesnt matter whether side you face downward, just press it onto the board (there are little plastic nubs that stick up that will help hold it in place

good luck fixing your phone

also if your ear speaker doesnt work check to make sure that the speaker is in there the right way and if you did change your case make sure the ribbon cable attatching the speaker contact isnt torn because its very small and thin......or the screws on the outer side of the phone under the trim piece arent fully tight, that will cause the speaker not to make full contact......if your gonna try it yourself make sure you use a heat gun to melt the adhesive holding the trim piece down cuz if you dont you'll crack it

if you can hear the key beep then your ear speaker is functioning properly.......thats where the key beep emits from

I could hear the key beep!!!! But you say that I shouldn't be hearing it if the speaker works right?? But I can't hear any ringers either. Is that supposed to come from the ear speaker too???

no the ringing comes from the large speaker....that red piece that fell out is whats stopping it from working.......i hope you didnt lose it...
