I've got a Nokia 6310i and tomorrow I'm getting a new phone from work, with Bluetooth. I've got loads of numbers stored on my phone, NOT my simm card. How can I get my old stored numbers onto my new phone ?

Thanks

There should be a feature that allows you to copy the contacts to your SIM card, which is what I usually do if the new phone doesn't have IrDA. If you have one contact that has 3 numbers, it will break it up into 3 different contacts though.

Example:

John
Home: 555-555-5555
Work: 555-555-5555
Cell: 555-555-5555

On the SIM, it will look like this

John
General: 555-555-5555
John 1
General: 555-555-5555
John 2
General: 555-555-5555

That is one of the problems of transfering your contacts from one phone to another with a SIM card. I forget if the 6310i has Infrared on it or not, if it does, great! Check if the new phone does or not, and if it does, just send a "Business Card" to the new phone via IrDA and it will copy everything just the same way you had it on your original phone. You have to copy one at a time like this, but it's better than entering everything in! Just make sure that the IrDA ports on either phone are lined up with each other and within a few inches from each other when copying or it will just sit there.

IrDA is one of the best features on a Nokia phone these days!
