I'm sure it's different for each wireless carrier, but for AT&T, you can send an email via SMS by addressing the message to 00000000, and in the first line of the message, put the email address you're sending to, and if you want, you can change the name in which is displayed as sent from (instead of your mobile number@mobile.att.net). An example:

To: 00000000

user@user.com#User's Name#

[message]

I can't remember exactly how to put in a Subject, but I'm pretty sure it's possible. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

Address the message to 500 for T-Mobile. Format for sms is the same as above.

I found the way to do that in T-Mobile. Write 566 in subject, then put

email@email.com / Message

How about Cingular?

in the To field, enter 121
in the body of the message (first line)
type in the email address of the recipient then leave one blank space and then type your message and click send

You can also send email using MMS if you carrier supports MMS. And it will allow you to enter a real email address in the To: field on the P800.

Hope this helps,

Lije

For Cingular:
Send SMS to 121 with the email address as the first word of the body text followed by a space.

For T-Mobile:
Send SMS to 500 with the email address as the first word of the body text followed by a space then the subject followed by a # sign.
