Hey guys I have some major questions about these phones.
I'm wanting to get one of these phones.
Im a newb in this forum so please be patient.

Okay first off, which is better and why? T610 or T616

Second, from what I have been reading on this forum, there is alot of mods that you can do to these phones. I also understand that most of the service providers change the themes to their personal themes. How easy are the mods? What does "unlocking" The phone do for me? How easy is it to get my phone unlocked.

If any of you guys are in the Washington State Seattle metro area and have this phone with Tmobile how is your service?

Any suggestions, answers or questions very much welcome.

Ok, most of your questions can be answered with the search feature on this webpage we call Howardforums. However....

The main difference between the 616 and 610 is the network bandplan. Rule of thumb, in the states you want 616, out of the states you want the 610.

Difficulty of mods? It all depends on your knowledge of cell phone technology, and of mods themselves. It also depends on the type mod. LED changing shouldn't be done by someone with little or no experience with microcircuitry soldering. Changing the casing can be done by a monkey in his sleep with a nice walkthrough provided on these forums (I will let you find it, as this page does have a search button). Painting the case (rather then buying a new one) also can be done by a monkey in his sleep using another nice walkthrough provided on these forums (again I will let you find it). Wallpaper, ringers, themes can all be done with a bluetooth dongle, or a data cable (you have bluetooth in the phone, might as well use it for something other then bluejacking). Most everything is easy if you know what you're doing, or have the right resources (welcome to hofo).

Unlocking the phone....I'm NOT touching this one, because it's been covered more then Jenna Jameson. (Again use the search button, or look in the moding section of the SE forum, I explained previously what it does).

As for the TMo question, I can't answer, as I use ATTWS in Pennsylvania because TMo sucks here.
