What about this phone?

Less than 10 mm thick!!

Or their upgraded dual mode version

Less than 12 mm thick!!

Granted they are CDMA though with no need for SIM card and holder...

is this to say that a sim card is a disadvantage? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Posted by: ace_pettersson

SIM cards have their advantages for sure...

But using them means a little more space is needed for the card with holder...

CDMA will probably start coming with their version of SIM cards (RUIM) in the next few years...

This must be the dumbest phone ever. They went through all this effort to make the phone slim, and then they slapped on this ridiculous antenna sticking out over an inch in an awkward direction. What's the point, then?

The Sanyo SCP-6000 is based on an iMode handset. This iMode handset uses a SIM card. So it is unlikely that a SIM contributes to the thinkness of a handset.

you do not use internal antennas in cdma phones.
all internal antennas force phones and bs to transmist at higher power levels than necessary, this only affects battery life in a tdma/gsm phone. but in a cdma system it needlesly wastes capacity and increses the fer to an unacceptable level. i own the sanyo 6200, and it is an awsome phone, don't knock it just because you are jealous.

It was stated it is "based" on an iMode, not an actual one
