GX-22 Reset bug

My GX-22 has reset itself on me 3 times now, while speaking on the phone. Weird, it never happened to me before, i've suddenly begun seeing this odd behaviour.

Anyone else had their phone reset on them?

I wonder if we'll be able to get firmware updates..?

ya.....that happened to me a few times as well. This happens when i leave to phone switched on overnight. The next morning when i look at the phone. It tells me to re-enter the handset lcok code again.

Well, my phone is always on, i don't ever switch it off unless the battery dies.

But mine has been reseting on me WHILE i am talking on the phone, that is bizarre ...

Hmm, this might be because your battery is a bit loose. If you look inside the battery compartment do you should see a little rubber piece near the bettery terminals? That rubber part is suppose to hold the battery firm inside the case and if you don't have it then it can cause weird resets. My rubber piece was pulled out by my daughter (sigh) and I never noticed until I got similar resets. I replaced it with some sticky foam rubber and no problems. I dont know if this will work for you but check the battery just in case.

Thanks, i'll try that. But it sounds unlikely as my phone is rarely opened, and it's in a case too. The battery should be snug, but you never know. This just happens once in a blue moon, for no apparent reason either.

I'm sure it's firmware related as I get other weird 'freezes' whereby the phone stops responding and I need to take out the battery to reset it.

its seem like sharp is having problem with this issues.
I have been waiting for my Sharp Gx 22... it should be arriving soon. What is the reset code on the phone ? and where can i locate this code for the future referance ?

I had the same problem with my GX-10. it would switch off with no apparent reason, once it pushed it aside to get the magazine it was lying on, it 'fell' off on the table and the phone switched off.

I put a piece of paper between the battery and the battery cover and that fixed it.
