SL56 and Keypad Locked

This is driving me nuts.

Whenever I click on the button to shut the phone off, it comes up with keypad locked and I have to unlock the keypad.

Is there someway of shuting this feature off?

Just press the button for a little bit longer, not sure exactly how long, and your phone will turn off.

try it with the slide down so it won't lock the keypad in any ways

Not sure what you mean by the slide down. But the slide is always closed as I have it in a leather case and don't use the keypad.

If holding down that end call button doesn't turn off your phone, you need to call Siemens and get it replaced. Amptron was suggesting you try holding down the end call button with the pro slide open, because the end call button only locks the keypad when the slide is closed.

i think it might be a problem with your slide/button~

You cannot turn off the phone by pressing the END button WHILE it is in screensaver mode... The key will only function as a KEY LOCK button...

Press any other key to get out the screensaver mode and you can power-off your phone... Just one more extra button to press....

I think it is a little feature so you don't turn off the phone accidentally and blame Siemens for missing calls....

There is a proslide feature that you can enable/disable that will lock your phone when you close the slider. It's convenient if you dont want to worry about pushing any random buttons while its in your pocket or carrying case. It also "de"luminates the phone about a second and a half after it locks so it is a battery saver. I just got my sl56 on sunday and so far I am loving it. Anyway, hope this helps!!
