can anyone confirm that the treo 600 will play (good quality) STEREO mp3?

A lot of smart phones will only play mp3 files in MONO.

Yep, they play in stereo. You need to get an adapter for headphones to go from the 2.5mm standard cell phone headset jack to the 3.5mm stereo headphone size. You can get that from Handspring or check Ebay. Once you get that, it plays the mp3s in stereo, very decent quality.

Thanks much. from what i can tell.. a lot of the Series 60 phones don't play mp3's in stereo.
