I am happy with Cingular and love Nokia phones, but I also need Bluetooth. I have a GAIT phone (6340) with a SIM card. Can I move the SIM to an unlocked 6310i and use 1900 on Cingular? Some say we use 850 in Atlanta, but Cingular's map shows 1900 for the metro area.

I have tried it, and I draw no signal. It apprently sees the SIM, and shows a bettery indicator and an mLife welcome message.

How can I verify it is unlocked? Is there a setting I can change to draw signal?

Well If when you turn it on,and soon as it starts it doesnt say "sim rejected" or "insert correct sim" or something to that matter. Then it is unlocked. Since cingular Uses 850 in Atlanta and cingular shows 1900 in your area, but its not finding a signal, then the 850 signal is probably only picking up
