To all those that have an X70:

Does anyone have any idea what the remote shutter option is under the camera>capture mode menu?

Remote shutter allows you remotely (via Bluetooth) to operate the camera. So If you have a PC with Bluetooth technology, you can remotely operate x70 camera from it.

That is what I thought. The question is, how? I am using a mac with bluetooth but can get access to a pc. It is not in the panasonic software, so any ideas?

I just figured out that the remote shutter thing is used by clicking the option while in camera mode. While the phone is in camera mode, you can then call your phone from a different phone and it will take the pic.

yep, i enquired about this with orange in the UK and thats what they've just got back to me with.

ring your phone from another when it's set to remote and it'll take a picture.

it'dd have been nice if it'dd been in the manual i got, but at least i know now.
