I've seen the how-to's and everything but how do I figure out what values to put into each thing. How do I know what values to put in??? How do i know what my Connected system ID, SOC and Country Code are???

This is for a Nokia 3360 on a Rogers AT&T Network

please help.
Just got my phone today.

Well I tried changing my alpha tag. I went through changed all the settings like the other post say to do. I turn the phone off then back on again and it still say home. I go into the system menu and go to manual and it gives me two options one is 'home' and the other is my personal alpha tag but it says its not availible and won't let me select it. Any one know why this might have happened?????

Thete should be 5 P/RSID in the list. Check each of them for values already entered, and home in the alpha tag selection. The one with home will be the one to change. Probably what you did was created a new one by putting the values into another P/RSID list.

Try it and let me know.

Well I tried doing what you said and I couldn't find one that had HOME as the alpha tag. I tried all 5 of the things. All of them where blank except for the one I already tried to change. Is there anyway to restore everything to default and try again???

Follow this order;
*3001#12345#
NAM 1(select)
scroll to PSID/RSID(select)
P/RSID 1(select)
System type(Private)
Next is PSID/RSID. The value is 1 then ok.
Next is connected system id. Check what is already entered. It will be 16xxx. I am in montreal, so mine is different (16401).
Next is the alpha tag. Change this to what you want, and ok.
Next is SOC. It is 2050, and ok.
Now country code. This is 302, and ok.
Thats it! Power off the phone, turn it back on, and all should be good!
BE SURE NOT TO CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS OTHER THAN THESE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DO.

I just did that and nothing power the phone back on and it stays as home.

I try to select it manually and I see it there but it says 'my alpha tag' and unavailible and it says 'home' availible. I only can select home.

man, why is this not working for me.

Good question!! I'm trying to figure this out!
At worst, bring the phone to a Rogers outlet, and they will change it for free, but they won't tell you how they do it.
I'll try to figure this out!

P.S Don't tell them you tried it yourself if you go! They don't like it when people mess with the programming, and since your phone is new, you don't want problems.

Any luck, or am I diggin someore?!

Posted by: Humps96Sohc

Haven't been able to do it yet. Haven't had a chance to get to a rogers dealer either to see if they can do it.

Posted by: tim1969

Well I don't know how else to do it! I works on my 5165. Maybe yours is different.

for a little bit. I think one of my numbers is wrong. Cause I went to toronto today to pick something up from a buddy and when I was coming home right around the hamilton area my phone said my personal alpha tag but now that I'm back in my city its gone back to the HOME alpha tag. Whats with that??? Which number would be wrong?

Check this. http://www.the-mobile.net/psid/index.asp

Most of the info you need probably will be there. Just check for your area.

don't have my area. I think that when I was in toronto I was setup for there but it must be different for down here in st. catharines.

Posted by: tim1969

Well, I really don't know any other way! All i can suggest is to bring the phone to rogers. If it can be done on your phone, they will do it for you. (It's free!)
