Phones are hyped up too much...

WHen i had my regular nokia i wanted a color phone when they started commin out. I came on here and all the hype was about the MOTO T720. I went out after a few weeks and bought. Then after like a week I relizied how crappy the phone was and all the reviews on the phone were bad too her on HOFO. Then I wanted a new phone and all the talk was about the GU 87, so sure enough about after 4 months of the t720 i dropped it can got the GU 87. Now the Gu 87 is a nice phone dont get me wrong but its the little things that bother me. For example like the Picture ID, the low ringers the image resolution the reception (not so little). Now all the talk is about the NEC 525 and the Sharp GX22/20, i come to the descion that the 525 was not for me becuz of the reviews and the x70 is the same as the gu87 and the sharp would be nice. But i dont want to go out and buy a 400 dollar phone that is going to turn out crappy so Im in a dilemna. Sorry i had to just say this

go you! there is no such thing as a perfect phone.. there will always be trade-offs

Very true...different brand offers different features....

ie. GD87 has speakerphone, which is very convenient, but it's not offered on the GX22.

and there is no such thing as a "PERFECT" phone. Everyone has different taste, therefore, different expectation for the phone.

GX22 of course....

the most obviouse reason would be the screen & camera.

Having used GD87 (a very good phone IMO), it doesn't even come close to GX22 in those area.

However, I'll tell you what I don't like about the GX22.

No speakerphone, keypad a little slow, can't reset softkey, alarm doesn't work once the phone is turned off, & infrared is somewhat limited.

Other than that, I really can't find anything to complain about this phone. But I have to say, this is only my personal opinion.
