i was just introduced to this site today, and i've been wanting to get the nokia 8910, however i'm aware that it will not work in the us networks (850/1900), but i've heard that you can tweek the phone to make it work. i obviously want to know how to do this, what's involved, and most importantly, has anyone done this before?
i'm pretty comfortable with working with circuit boards, and chip sets.
TIA

so..... has anyone done it? price isn't the issue, i already have a guy willing to send me the phone for what i think's a reasonable price.

$1200 USD + conversion costs are A LOT of dough!
and if he screws up the warranty is void! So nokia wont fix it!
Be careful, one person has claimed that it was done, but since not many more have done it I would be weary.
