Well here's an interesting piece of news. I was at the Carphone Warehouse (the largest cell phone retailer in the UK) here in Central London yesterday and was looking through their December print catalog. The SX1 is listed in the Coming Soon section as being available in December. The website says the same thing. I haven't seen any more info at the stores so for the moment let us remember that this is all based on the information contained in their catalog and on their site.

There have been a lot of conflicting report on the SX1 forum at clubsiemens.net whether or not the SX1 will be out in December or not. There is more doubt than anything now, but who knows for sure. Siemens isn't really saying. There was a link at Club Siemens to a search result that stated (from Siemens' site) that due to software issues, the SX1 would not be released until Q1 2004.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but one can dream, can't they?

That's very true, I've read different things as well, this is the first solid proof I've seen for an estimated release date for the SX1 in the UK. I'll ask the next time I go back to the store, it seems like this info changes every week judging by what you said.
