Originally posted by Knut.G. You can forget about getting a new one. Nobody gives a new phone in exchange for an old damaged one under warranty, as long as they have one of similar age that is repaired. The reason you get a replacement is because taking your specific unit in, repairing it, then shipping it out would take far too long. Instead they just ship a refurbished one. As far as the damage goes, I doubt SE sent that one out with the cracked screen. If the box is damaged, it's highly likely it was damaged in transport. You'll just have to ask for a new(refurbished) one. -Knut |

Originally posted by cmc0 My phone was new when I got it, my first repair was after 1 week of purchasing the phone so my phone was'nt "old and damaged". IT only had around 20mis on the lifetime without being reset. And the reason I got a replacement was not because they thought repairing it would take so long. In fact, that's all they wanted to do,just repair it and repair it for the 5th time! I had to file a complaint with the BBB (US government agency of consumer affairs) to even get them to replace it since they could'nt repair it after sending it in to them 4 times I'm not going to ask for a refurbished one, they had enough chances to provide me with a working phone. I'll either get a new one from SE or file again in small claims court for the full $2,500 without taking any settlements Plus, when they were supposed to "replace it" they took out the stereo headset and one stylus and the box is beat up so they're going to replace the whole thing.I'm not going to tolerate any more BS from them |
You’re really getting the shaft as far as SE goes. I sure hope to not have any problems with my SE phones because with a report like yours it doesn’t give me much confidence in sending mine in for repair.|

I am having some problems with a faulty P900 I bought there, and the guys from the shop do not give me better ideas than wait till the mobile is out here in Spain in January and use the international warranty then, but I guess I could get a new one from them better and sooner, any idea on this? regards. |
