Hello friends,
I brought a new Nokia 6610 last weekand it worked fine for first few days.
But from the last 2 days I have noticed yhay it has started losing time.
The battery is full.
What could be the problem?
Thanx

Hi,
The problem with your fone, without a doubt is the internal battery, all decent phones have an internal battery, so get your phone checked out by your service provider, or do it yourself, you need to have Philips screw driver T6, once the phones opened, you will see a small lithium battery, a button sized battery take it out, and replace with exactly the same one, it must be lithium because it has a potential to recharge it's self, other battery will leak, and probably cause a liquid leakage. Then make sure you screw all the screws in, just in case if you need to send the phone in to nokia for repair, if you are missing one screw, there is now way that they are going to repair it for you. Then your warranty will be void for the rest of the the phones life.
Good luck mate.

i did had the same problem. Solution just take out the main battery on the back, you don't need to open the entire phone.
If it than does it again, than do it again. After about 4 á 5 times, the time stays correct.
I don't know why it does that, little weird.

You must remove the phone rear cover. Remove the battery, then the backup battery will be seen. Remove it, replace it with a new one. It's maybe the phone, time battery has lost it's charge and relying on the main battery. If that doesn't work, it's you phone in general, so you would have to reflash the phone with an updated software.

Ok, Take the back and front Fascia off, then at the front you'll see the keypad, remove that! then you'll see a white patch which is all the pressure switch for you buttons, at the four corners you'll see 4 Black screws, in some models there are 2 other screws at the top, remove it using either T6 screwdriver or a small enough (-) negative screw driver. When you take all the screws off, you'll gain access to the interanls of the phone, the phone chip board will come off, and you will see a small silver AG3 battery inside the back of the phone, becareful the screen doesn't fall out!!!!!! Then get the screwdriver you opened the phone with, then "push" out the small battery, change with a new, becarful all memory will be erased, once have a new internal AG3 battery, place it in. And screw all the phone back together, and make sure you don't loose the screw cause the Nokia warranty would be void if you do loose them. Then your phone should be working fine. If not perfectly. And if this doesn't work, you'll have to reflash the whole phone, cause it's not the battery failier it's the software. Don't hesistate to try this, but just don't touch the internal with your bear hands, wear gloves, cause sweat is a great conductor.
Best wishes,
Derek
