X70 Battery Life

I recently bought a X70. I so far think it is an exceptional phone. Much better than the first generation T610 I had. The only thing I noticed is the battery life is very short. After a little while during charging, the indicator becomes red, flashes and has an 'x' thru it. This tells me something is wrong in the charging mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Could it be a defective battery already??

yeah i noticed it too. but its not always. i had this effect about 2 times. on the other hand, the batterylife is not comparable with gd87. max 2 days...

nice phone - short battery life...

Well that thin, flat battery has to power up that big *** screen which consist of 65k+ colors. Just don't use the camera that often, like go to the mall and take pics of girls ***. Also Infared kills the battery.

yeah this has happened to me twice also. I just unplugged the charger and plugged it back in. Problem solved and everything seems to be working fine now. I really wish panasonic would make an extended battery though for this phone cause compared to my t68i this things battery life is horrible. Other than that I love the phone though and wouldn't trade it for anything.

i found that my phone's battery seem to be uncharged for 4 days now, and i have 2 bars left. I charge it everytime when it reaches 2 bars..but it has been 4 days since. so yea.
when i use to let it dry out, the battery only last 2 days.
