Best battery among Sanyo phones....

Please comment on your actual experiences with battery life on the Sanyo phones, particularly the 8100, 5300, and the newer ready link phones (assuming anyone has them yet) -- I am looking at these phones and as we all know, the times listed on the official spec sheet often aren't what people experience in real life..sometimes it's worse, sometimes it's better.....I'd be interested to hear your opinions.

Comparing the 8100 and 5300, the only two I have actually had in my hands for use, the 8100 had better battery life, though not by much.

I have an 8100, and the phone's battery life meets the 16-day standby time even with regular use.

where on earth do you live??? i have a sanyo 8100 and i can't get more than 2 days without recharging it... possibly cause i talk on it for more than an hour a day but still you get 16 days?@%

5150 sucks. You play crabby catcher and it's dead.

8100 lasts forever. I got the extended battery and never needed it really. Just wanted to have a spare. The only thing that really drained it was when it was trying to find a signal. Then it drains really fast.

I have a Sanyo 5500 and use Ready Link a whole lot for customer demonstrations and talking to other employees, if you are going to use Ready Link alot on the 5500, you will defineately need the Extended Battery.

I have had the 5400 and I now own the 5500. The battery life SUCKS, if you want more than two hours of talk time out of your 5500 I suggest you never take pictures or use the camcorder feature, plus dont play around with the options or use readylink.

I think the problem with the 5500 is when RL is enabled; I am guessing when they did the battery tests that they did not enable RL. I don't have RL turned on my 5500 and I have only had the battery warning come on once, which was when I was taking a quite afew videos to find out the best settings in different lighting and had the light on for the majority of those. Otherwise, I have never seen the battery get below 1 bar left. I usually talk 1.5 hours a day, take/upload 2-10 pics/vids and use vision 15-30 minutes. If I were using RL I would definitely get an extended battery if I did not have access to a charger during the day. To sum it up I have been very happy with my 5500's battery life.

I had the 8100 before the 5500 and I would say it is pretty good; but didn't seem to last as long as the 5500's.
