OK, I am a n00b here, and I am HORRIBLE with cell phones.
I have a CDM8600 through Verizon, and I hate the manual it has. No help whatsoever. I am used to my old V60 (even though I hated the phone overall) and how easy voice dialing was.
I can get the names programmed in for each person, I am OK with that. How do I actually use them? What do I hit before saying the name?
Thanks a ton, I am hoping to learn a lot more about cell phones and customizing them

Yap, the manual is a POS. To activate voice dialing hold down the send/dial key for a long long time and voice services will activate. You can also have it activate with flipping the phone. That can be turned on in voice sevices settings.

Spclk1981, I might mention here that I bought an audiovox portable hands free setup. I have not been able to get it to work very well with voice rcognition. Maybe to much background noise. Any way I was looking forward to using it with the car kit but no dice. Could not even get it to recognoze the wake up command.
