Has anyone been able to get the Wireless Pack to work on the Voicestream or AT&T GPRS Network in Chicago? I have been on the phone with both Voicestream and AT&T and neither of them can offer any suggestions. I can't even get my SIM to register to Voicestream's GPRS network when it's in the sleeve although it registers fine on GPRS on my Ericsson T68. I can however register fine to AT&T GPRS network but when I establish the connection, it immediately drops me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have gone through this and have had the Voicestream wireless support people (who are stationed in Britain!) spend a lot of time trying to ascertain the problem. The phone sleeve does not see the GPRS network in most US locations, though some areas are having success (Atlanta?). I even saw the "G" myself just once here in NYC. The bottom line is that it appears to be some kind of incompatibility which may not be addressed until the sleeve is actually released in the US. The scheduled date of June 1 may go by the boards depending on what Compaq discovers.
Voicestream engineers are helpful and knowledgeable; Compaq engineers may be knowledgeable but appear to be impossible to reach.
