Hello
I know you all are gonna hate me but I work for SPRINT PCS and I have some definite answers for you about the Sanyo 6000. The multimaster software is not availible and won't be for some time. The WEBSITE is wrong and I encourage people to call customer care and yell at them because of it. The 5000 software does not work on the 6000! I know cause I tried it..... Even tried hacking it, won't work. Just thought I'd let yah all know about the situation

Any idea as to when they will be getting the software?

Well, the problem is that the 6000 phone software has not so much a bug in it but more of a glitch that makes it unable to load ringtones or pictures to the onboard ram. It can be accomplished through the use a a PST cable setup, but only Sprint stores can get those. No idea when the software will be fixed.....Sorry

PST Cable, wat is that, is that the normal data cable for the 6000 or is it a completely different cable, if it is completely different, is there any way one could get one? thanks

Like he said, it's the engineering cable that only the spcs stores have.

To be exact, the PST cable is the PRODUCT SUPPORT TOOL cable that we use to connect a phone to a properly equiped PC so that we can do maintinance on a phone such as a software update or PRL update. Basically the cable is actually three cables in one. The data aspect, the WRITE TO RAM (which is what I used to put pictures on my 6000) and the calibration aspect. The cables are EXPENSIVE and touchy...meaning that they are a ***** to use and break quite often.
