panasonic x70 newbie needs help please

Hi all , im new to this site but it looks like a fantastic resource for people like me.
Any way, my query is this : ive seen a few pictures now of the panasonic x70, and in particular the main menu. On the pics ive seen, the icons for the camera, phonebook, messages etc, are all in colour, and look like proper pictures,.....however on my phone they are the same colour as the background (light orange) and are very basic looking icons.
Why is this?? Does the fact that im on the orange network (uk) have anything to do with this? Also, is there any way i can change them to the full colour ones by using updated firmware(if any is available yet)?
Ant help would be greatly appreciated

Probably you had one of those service provider customized menus. I am not sure if you can flash it with the regular firmware to get the original menu back.
