Hey, soz im a n00b.

I got my pin wrong several times and then got the puk coad wrong a few times and now it sez sim card error or somthing like that. anyone know how i can fix it? its a 5190 or what ever, realy old, doubbles as a wepon/brick..

If your Service Provider's Cust Care can't help you to fix on the phone (and I think all they can do is to give you the PUK #), then you might need to go to an authorized dealer to re-set the sim...

Usually if you screw up the puk code you need to get the phone flashed [reset to factory setting, ie you loose everything you had on the pone]. Most phone shops will do this for a pretty cheap price [About £10 in the UK].

You have to get a new SIM card, re-flashing wont fix the problem. Go in to a store, get a new card, and have them get your PUK, PIN1, and PIN2 if they are not the usual defaults. Keep the codes in a safe place and chances are,you wont mess it up again.

the same thing happened to me...i called up my servic provider and they gave me a PUK code right over the phone within a few seconds...problem solved within 10 minutes...obviously they have special codes for each SIM card stored in their comps...
