so the planned X70 is not coming to ATTWS as a triband phone (800/1800/1900)? It says on phonescoop that it is tentatively scheduled for 4th quarter 2003 release for ATT.

ATTWS may or may not carry it, in fact since it does not appear that it will have 850

Coupled with the fact that AT&T wireless has signed an agreement with Samsung sends a pretty strong message that they are not going to use Pana mobiles in the near future. There was a planned 850, 1800, 1900 X70 variant, but I assume that it is a dead product now. Pana is releasing X71 in a few months.

ahh I see, well... have to wait until gsm coverage improves and 850 rollout. I'll have to check back later for that X71 if it's any good or not
