How does keyguard work on SonyEricsson T610?

Sorry if this ?'s been asked before...
How do you activate it? Unactivate it? I'm trying to eliminate accidental calls while the phone is in my pocket.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

To turn on:
Setting
Locks
Auto Keylock
On
Now, after your phone "sleeps" and you press a key, you will see unlock above the right soft key. You need to press the right soft key then you will get a message to press * to unlock your keys. If you want to turn this off, follow the steps above except change it to off.

You could do that, or you can "more" from the main screen and hit the asterik key after that.
