I was in the same position as you couple of days ago. All you have to do is ring up O2 customer service and ask them to activate your GPRS and MMS. They will sms you those settings which will auto update your phone internet and mms accounts on your phone.

Give it 24 hours for the GPRS to set up and process, then bingo.

02 CS is very good!

You should be able to find the CS number on your 02 phone bill or log onto 02, it should be there.

yeah wierd innit you got your normal gprs browser workin tho?

if you go to www.sonyericsson.com/support

and select p900 as your phone model and then go to utilities theres the new version of opera as described by bengal in another thread, but back to the point if you go to download it in the instalation instructions the bottom paragraph explains

"For network settings, do not use the same access point as the builtin WAP browser. Opera wil not work if connected to a WAP gateway. Instead set up an access point directly to the internet. The settings should be identical to what the email client in the phone will use , please contact your service provider if you have any problems. We recommend a GPRS or HSCSD connection for web browsing."

???

this kind of confused me, can anyone help?
also i need help with getting e-mail setting right?

proxy tab
use proxy server
proxy server address- 193.113.200.195
proxy server port - 8080

now try opera?
also try opening a page eg. www.o2.co.uk and wen it connects click web home page then try and open the sites you want?

So with Opera can we not access O2 Active for free?

My understanding is that the O2 Active portal is free until the end of January, but I think that was just through WAP.

Anyone know anything about the promotion?
