Jog dial not working when FLIP REMOVED!

Anyone else experienced this.
Took off the flip and after a little while the screen lock itself. So i do as you would in the manual, using the jog dial, press out-wards which is fine but couldnt press inwards. It wont work. Tried it so many times, swithcing the phone off and tried again but to no avail. Is there some settings i have to change??
Put the flip back on and the jog dial works fine.

I've had a new P900 since 4 days, decided today to remove the flip, and had exactly the behavior you desrcibe! (jog dial in an towards self not working, but only when flip removed).
Did you get rid of it? how?
