X70 Sub-LCD Backlight Issue

Jeeez only had the phone 24hrs and already having problems with the thing

The issue is the LCD on the front has started working intermittently (like a light with a dodgy connection, flickering on/off). This happens when i press the utilty key to see the time and also when i receive voice calls and text messages.Most of the time it just doesnt work at all.

If anyone else if having/had this problem, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd add that this problem is now making the Camera's Photo Light not work....

sounds like you've got a faulty handset there. definately sounds broke to me.

Thanks for you feedback guys, Im gonna RMA the handset today.

Only problem is that because it was an upgrade they have deactivated my old SIM

and they want the new one back which is working

Gonna be without a phone for the WHOLE weekend

. That's like cutting my right arm off...they might as well disconnect my internet while they're at it

The case screen backlight and occasionally the camera don't work after charging the phone - turn off then back on should fix it. From other posts, it would appear this is common with Orange UK X70s and Orange say that they are awaiting a firmware update from Panasonic
