I went to check out the 8900 today and i am sad to say i wasn't that impressed. Although the internal screen is large it can't compare to the vx6000's 256k screen. The camera button on the side was pretty cool but i found that you can not hold the phone comfortably without your finger getting in the way of the lens unlike the vx6000's lens which it totally on the opposite side.
The speaker phone was nothing great either, it sounded cheap and as far as i can tell, you have to keep the phone open when using it which i think kinda sucks.
The external display was large and the analog clock is pretty cool but come on man, make the freakin thing color!!
The phone was a good size not to small like the pathetic 8600. The menu is simple and easy to use but nothing special.
That's about all i can say about it for now, I am hitting the 1 year mark next week and am dying to toss my t720 in the river or smash it with a brick but i was unsure whether to choose between the 8900 and the 6000, well my decision has been made. I never thought i would leave moto and go for a LG but i think it's my best choice for now. Let's hope the future is brighter for moto with the upcoming 810.

The VX6000 is great phone... I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I went from a T720 to the 8900 and honestly it's the best move I've made...
To each their own I guess
