Anyone have any info on hacks for metro Pcs's version of the slider? I have this phone and even bought the cable to dl ringtones but you can only dl kws format with kyocera's crappy software. I called Kyocera and asked what format of ringers the phone supports and they said wave, but I have read threads that people are dl midi to the phone via wap which I dont have yet...any info would be appriciated!

I heard from smeone that metro is now carrying the Slider, I'm not sure though....16 hours 'til I get MY slider...

yeah.. i've had the slider on metro pcs since monday... so far.. I have tried almost everything... i don't have a data cable yet..cuz none of the area places have one... i've been to 6 resellers/distributors... and no luck on the cable... looking for a site that does anything with metro pcs is kinda hard to find... so.. if I find anything..i'll help out too

You can try using Gagin, you can find the tutorial here http://www.rootarcana.com/~t720/tutorial/ . But first check and see if they have an update version. Where did you buy your cable? And whats it called, how much did you pay?

Thanks for the info !! That worked for the ringers but I hope there is an updated version as it doesnt dispay the files just folders...I got the cable from kyocera's site...http://store.kyocera-wireless.com USB Data Cable & Driver Bundle LGXBU074 if you sign up before you buy you get 15% off so I paid 42 bucks after shipping...

Wow I had no idea the cable would be that expensive. Can we use just any cable with the same connectors or does it have to be from kyocera? I saw a similar cable at bestbuy that might work but its for a pda, and only cost $20. I'll try finding you an updated program, so how does it work? Gagin just replaces the files already on your phone? And have you tried adding new wallpaper or screen savers? If you have aim, my sn is haru908.

So far what I have learned is that Gagin works for ringtones and Wallpapers! The ringers are in midi format I have put 30 on my slider so far and the biggest was 39k..The wallpapers are 133x100 pixels and are png format and the max you can put up is 25. The folders you put the ringers in is /sound/ringer and the folder for wallpaper is /mypictures.. and to delete all of your ringers you run the kyocera desktop software and sync the ringer with the phone to overwrite and it delets them...all i need to find out is whatformat the screensavers are in and where to get brew games and what folders they go in...hope this helps so far

Is there any way in Gagin to upload the wallpapers and for them to come out in the wallpapers section of the phone instead of in the Mypictures in "Fun & Games"?

I heard that the virgin mobile version blocks Data from Gagin...I am using bitpim now as it shows the files as well as folders...and as far as I know you can only upload the wallpapers to my pictures folder.
