I'm curious how long you've owned the XDA II and what is it that makes you want the P900 more?

First and the most importang reason - our company along with computer games for PC and XBOX is making gaming content for cell phone platforms, both JAVA and BREW based. Since P900 is Symbian phone with JAVA I figured that we might also support this particular phone as well due it's great multimedia capabilities.

Another reason - I love this multifunctional jog. I use to own P800 a while ago and missed it big time. Ability to use phone, browse the address book, check email etc just with one hand is a great feature.

Hardware buttons. Obvious advantage over on-screen touch sensitive buttons.

BT headset profile on XDA2 is very very limited and bugy, no voice tags, no built in caller picture ID support.

MS OS is very bugy and unpredictable, I know that Symbian has it's own glitches but not with same severity.

Smaller size.

I think - better sound quality vs XDA2.

P900 design is just superb.

On the minus side - smaller screen, less memory, stupid memory stick vs cheaper, bigger SD cards on XDA2.

Both devices are very impressive and sexy, if I may say so

But I like P900 more.

P.S. That's the nice car in your signature! I am also VW fan, in fact I am getting Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition next Monday Black, of course

Just an aside Nexus, but I have the iMate and I am confused about your comment regarding bluetooth, voicedial and photo ID.

I find the bluetooth operation of the iMate superior to the P900 and when used with Microsofts voicedail, a far superior voice dialing device, yes no support for voice dial from a bluetooth headset, but much more powerful with no need for voicetags. Also, my iMate uses photo ID,,,so I don't understand?

Range vise maybe, XDA2 is better. But did you ever try to answer second incoming call my using headset button? It just disconnects current call. MS VoiceDial is nice, hovewer as you said - it's not working through BT headset, ie you have to have press hardware button on XDA2 and talk to mic on it. That means you have to take unit of your belt, open case etc. With SE you can just press headset button and say name. MS VOICE dialer is not part of OS and cost extra $$$. PIcture ID function on XDA2 is also not a part of dialer, but thirdparty application. Very bugy, btw.

More TSR (in startup folder) programm u have - less stable XDA2 operates due the famous "32 programms at the same time" limitation of WM2003.

Another comment about MS Voice Dial. it works fine if all names in your contacts are English. Try for example Evgeny Liptsin or Baja Lodhia

Try to use XDA2 all day the same way you use your P900 or other phone and you'll better undesrtand what I mean.

I have posted message here a while ago after I just got XDA2 -

XDA2 - very nice PDA (prolly the best) with phone functionality

P900- very nice phone (the best) with PDA functioanlity

I believe my iMate has a much better OS because of the USA ROM from your XDA? Anyway, I have not experienced the bugginess you describe, but I completely agree with your assessment. My photo ID was preinstalled on the iMate and works very well with some little animated templates. For your information there is a new firmware revision from T-Mobile for the MDAII, it's posted over at pocketpcpassion and it fixes the bluetooth bugs as well as some others.

Thanks for the info, Bengalboy. I just sold my XDA2 P900 should arrive WED or so. I just can't justify having both devices at the same time, since functionality is pretty close.
