Sending midis to phone via e-mail question

Since it's taking longer than I was hoping for LG to release a data cable for the LG 4010 and 4050, I've been looking for ways to getting midis on my phone for free.
If I get MMS on my phone will I be able to e-mail midis to my phone like people are doing with Verizon Wireless pix messaging?

I can't vouch for MMS atttachments, but you can download midis if you've got WAP enabled.

Definitely can't send midis to the LG4010 via email to 1234567890@mobile.mycingular.com
The email will come through, but it drops the attachment somewhere.
