How good is IMAP for P800/P900?

I have been digging around in the forums and have not seen a whole lot of information about what I am looking for in the way of IMAP support.

I already know what kind of connections the P800/P900 client supports (ssl, ect..) What I want to know is how well does it support IMAP folders?

I have been using Versamail on a Palm and it can handle folders great! I have used other e-mail clients and all they see is the 'standard' folders and nothing else, that would be Inbox, Sent, Deleted or so other wierd issue.

Does the P800/P900 e-mail client support IMAP folders asside from the standard ones? Does it support nested folders? Can you set the e-mail client on a timer and it checks all the folders and not just the inbox?

Basicly I am trying to avoid getting a Crapberry and would like a device that can hit my exchange account and just deal with how my folders are setup. Is the P800 or P900 the right product for such a loft request?

I thank everyone for their time and look forward to your replys.

I'm not sure if the P900 is any different than my P800 when it comes to IMAP support, but I doubt it. The Pxxx phones don't have a full IMAP client, meaning they do not understand the IMAP folder structure, or nested folders, or shared IMAP folders, or anything like that. It has the basic support for downloading message headers or full bodies, or messages no larger than X. It can also be set on a schedule to automatically check for new emails, but only for the default "Inbox" IMAP folder.

I was a bit disappointed in this, as IMAP is the preferred method of email, but since the P-series can use Opera browser, it works well enough with most web-based IMAP clients like SquirrelMail or WorldClient (which has a nice/fast WAP/WML interface).

Hopefully some kind soul out there will make a better IMAP client, but only time will tell.
