Nokia 3200 Review

I bought this phone a week ago now and this is my short little review on the nokia 3200.Upon opening the box nice and neatly was all the essentials. The first thing i have to say is that the 3200 does not come with the pc suite software which is available for other nokia phones eg 6610 etc..Anyway after taking the phone out i was quiet eager to take off the back plastic cover of the phone to insert the sim card and battery. The first thing that suprised me is that the back cover is infact very difficult to come off and needs to be forced open for it to "click" and come off.I find this disturbing as if you keep taking the cover off the phone over a period of time the cover will squeak and not be flush to its main body. After inserting the sim card and battery i clipped the cover back on only to find that it was loose on the side where it clips on.It is a nuisance because when holding the phone you can feel the loosness and the squeakiness and this is in a matter of 2 minutes after taking it out of the box! This is due to its very POOR design for attaching the clear plastic cover to the phone.Being very p*ssed off i took the phone back for a brand new one..This time it was better but again bad design in covers still loose but is a little better than the last one i had.I then thought to myself that it wont be too long before aftermarket covers will become available for this phone and hopefully nokia is reading this produces better plastic covers for this phone. And also on the bright side the aftermarket ones wont be translucent and will have different colours and patterns on them for people that dont like the paper cut out cover.Apart from the bad cover thats as much as i can say on its bad points. As for the rest of the phone i have to say i am actually quiet pleased with this phone.Menu system is typical nokia and is easy and user friendly. The 4k screen could be better if it were 65k but im not complaining it does the job quiet well. When playing one of the preloaded games i have to say that the keys are not as responsive to the way the character moves on screen but nevertheless it works fine.Ringtones sound great. It also has a built in voice recorder for recording and what people on this forum forget is that this phone features "true tones" which means you can record a sample of music or your voice or whatever and save it as a ringtone which a handy little function. The camera i think in my opinion is better than the nokia 7250i.The night mode on this camera works good iv'e had lights off in my bedroom with just the tv on and night mode on and can take pictures and they still look viewable. In the daylight is where this camera works best..In normal mode even you can take snap shots and they look clear on high mode even better. It also has a handy little flash light for times when you need light to find your keys or find the keyhole. Also has a built in fm radio which is great.Overall this is a feature packed phone with nice features. The price in Australia is a bit steep at the moment ($500).Like i said before the biggest draw back is it's very poor designed plastic covers which are very flimsey..But like i said buy this phone and get a decent aftermarket cover and you cant go wrong.

Great review. Could you post some of the pictures you've taken with this phone?

Very great review. Thanks.

I got a little problem with the FM radio. The volume in both headset and loudspeaker are too loud to listen. But I can not find any mean to adjust it. Please advise. Merry Christmas to everybody.
