The battery on my Sanyo SCP-6000 is getting worn and doesn't hold much of a charge anymore. Anyone know where to buy a slim battery (same size as the one the phone came with)? I'd really like to keep the phone since it otherwise works fine and is so small.

Every place I've found online seems to only have a thick extended battery that juts out the back. I've found the 6200 battery at Fry's but that one won't fit on the 6000. Sanyo and Sprint no longer sell any batts for this phone.

Rat Shack says they can order it for $59... no thanks, I'd rather buy a new phone (which I might just end up doing). I found http://www.telusmobility.com/on/pcs/acc_sanyo6000.shtml has it, but at $110 Canadian, that's even worse!

$59.95 is retail for that battery, so it's not a bad deal from the Shack. The 6000 is an awesome phone. Hope it works out for you!

Check this lady's (Natalie) ebay seller store out, she has great Sanyo prices. I have purchased from her before and gotten exactly as stated - get ready to have your socks blown off! All the stuff is exactly the same as you would buy at the sprint store:
