I think the difference is the 9900 has an color external LCD, but im not positive. Also the 9900 can take video and has a built in flash for the camera. Im pretty sure the 9900 is made by Toshiba, while the 8900 Hyundai, which is supposebly cheaper made? So basically its the suped up 8900.
The 9900 was rumored to be released on Verizon at the end of the year or early begining of 2004. You can see a picture here.

its not out yet? Does audiovox have a camera phone out for verizon yet? Cuz my friend said they do and I wasn't sure what he was talkin about...
