I can confirm that it is not the cable for the 6000. It is the cable for the 4400. You want the cable designed for the 1200. You can get it from futuredial's site.

damn, i heard it would work, does radioshack or anyone else local carry a cable i can use for $50 or less?

If you want to buy a cable from a store go to Verizon and get their Mobile Office Kit. Otherwise you can order cable through EBAY or RPIwireless on the inernet

I can confirm that this cable doesn't work as well. I don't know why a lot of people are saying that it does. The connector is too small for the VX6000. I tried it myself.

I can confirm that the cable will not work with the VX6000 because I work for the Shack and I have a VX6000. RS does not sell the data cable for the VX6000 or 1200.

Two quick questions:

Does Shack sell USB cable for the VX4400B ?

And is the Mobile Office Kit software needed to simply transfer ringtones and wallpaper images from the PC to the Phone ?
