SL56- Ringers not working

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I deleted all of the regular ringtones that came with the phone the other day and originally had the ringtone set to 'Chill Out'. I uploaded a couple different rings via IRDA and loaded them and selected them, and for a little while I had a midi file working as the ring. Then I changed it to a different ring and when someone calls me now it's back to the 'Chill Out' ringtone. Using the File Manager, I can't even find that ringtone or any of the other original ones.

I think I remember seeing this or something similar posted recently, but I couldn't find the post.

even when you have it set, make sure it is set-up on that profile using the side-keys to see what pro-fiel you are in.

try assigning the new ringtone (the midi) to all types of calls (other calls, phone numbers of calls made to you that are in the directory, group calls). then when someone calls, no matter who, you'll hear the new one.

if the person who's calling isn't in the directory, the ringer will be the one for 'other calls'. if they are in the directory, you'll get the ringer specified for the 'directory' (the little book icon thing). i got the same thing at first too.
