I think it is one of the best phones available today, now the phone has problems, there is no perfect phone, not yet anyway. I looked at the motorola smart phone, I cant see getting the phone when its using the older version of software and cannot be upgraded.

I think as far as features the 525 is better than the Panasonic GU87.

Since I got my 525 I keep getting reports of excellent audio quality, which is very important to me, I have no problem accessing everything I need to on the internet through the phone. I have no signal RF issues with the phone I get signal with no problem and have not had any dropped calls. The ear piece volume issue has not realy been an issue for me.

This phone has excellent software with great features, like I said the phone is not perfect but out of the current choices available I think the 525 is the best choice.

By the way here are my specs for the perfect cell phone,

1) Supports all 4 frequency bands 850,900.1800,1900

2) Supports GPRS and EDGE Data

3) Supports all encoding formats including AMR and provides excellent audio quality on both ends of the call and ample audio level.

4) has same resolution and screen size as 525

5) has at least a 1 mega pixel camera with pic resolutions as high as 640 x 480, with flash.

6) has good battey life.

7) has no problem holding signal and no dropped call issues

8) has address book software that makes it easy to copy numbers back and forth from the SIM Card including full copy full delete partial copy and delete etc.

Someone make this phone please?

The good: nice audio for ringtones, big display, clear wallpapers and a good sized phonebook and calendar.

The bad: cannot synch via IR to computer, must have usb cable. The camera is pretty bad, unless you are in direct sunlight the pictures are horrid. No flip open to talk, but flip closed to end works.

I agree with all of the above. For the money it's a great phone. Does all the things I need it to.

My complaints are the same as everyone else...voice quality, earpiece volume, no flip on answer, IR is pretty much usless, and the voice tag is totally usless.

Its a fun phone and I personally think the positives outway the negatives.

for $50 it dose not get any better. i mean **** it dont get much better for 300 dollars. its a fantastic phone.

flip to answer doesnt really bug me anymore..i just press anykey when i flip up and its good
