NEC 515 Survives swim in toilet

Yes.. my wife actually dropped her 3-week-old NEC 515 in the toilet while it was turned on and working. It was soaking wet when it was rescued. She pulled the battery immediately and tried to use the hair dryer to dry it off. I took it apart myself and tried to dry it further but it still would not work after I put it back together. I thought it was a lost cause but I stuck it on the back of my 21” Sony Monitor that puts out a good amount of heat. I let it dry out there for a couple of days with the battery & SIM card removed. I put the battery in last night again and it sprang to life just like new. We tested it and there does not seem to be any problems with it.

Just thought you all might enjoy my story.

yeah i think you should go for a second try, and make sure it wasnt just a fluke
